Christus History

Christus Lutheran Church was formed as a mission congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America in 1992, under the pastoral direction of mission developer, Pastor Charles Bose.

In late 1994 the congregation began to develop plans to acquire a new piece of land for a new church. In the early winter of 1995, two committees were charged with evaluating over twenty potential building sites for the future church. On September 25 1995, the congregation voted to acquire the Norman Julius property consisting of thirty seven acres of rolling farmland located at the intersection of Highways 45 and Julius Drive in the township of Greenville, Wisconsin. On April 20, 1997, the congregation gathered at the building site to celebrate the ground breaking. The “Planting” as the celebration was referred to, consecrated the land with joyful sounds, prayer, planting of trees and dedication speeches.

In 2008 Christus expanded it's facility by adding on a educational wing to accomodate the growth it has experienced in the past 10 years.
